This year's AMC 10/12 math contest is on Nov 6th and Nov. 12th for all the students between 5th to 12th grade. This national math examination provides an opportunity to apply the concepts taught at the junior high level to problems which not only range from easy to difficult but also cover a wide range of applications. Many problems are designed to challenge students and to offer problem solving experiences beyond those provided in most middle and high school math classes. This will help students to build solid math foundations for standard tests (such as SAT/ACT) and be able to do well in high school and to participate AMC 12 during high school years.

Come to join our annual flagship AMC8 workshop on 1/20/2025 during BSD non-school days. Official exam is 1/22/2025. We are hosting in-person exam. Space is limited. Register early is highly recommended. Enroll Here!

AMC8 national math exam is designed to promote the development of problem-solving skills. It provides an opportunity for middle school and elementary school students to develop positive attitudes towards analytical thinking and mathematic skills. Students apply classroom skills to unique problem-solving challenges in a low-stress and friendly environment.

The material covered on the AMC 8 includes topics from a typical middle school mathematics curriculum. Possible topics include but are not limited to: counting and probability, estimation, proportional reasoning, elementary geometry including the Pythagorean Theorem, spatial visualization, everyday applications, and reading and interpreting graphs and tables. In addition some of the later questions may involve linear or quadratic functions and equations, coordinate geometry, and other topics traditionally covered in a beginning algebra course
